Hello and welcome to Rossington St Michael’s!

I am absolutely thrilled as Headteacher to introduce you to Rossington St Michael’s C of E Primary School’s website which should give you a flavour of all the wonderful things that our children experience here. It is a fantastic school, serving the community of Rossington and overlooking the gorgeous Church.

Our school was originally built in the nineteenth century and started life as the local village school for Old Rossington. The school was expanded in the 1960’s and early 2000’s when the Victorian buildings were supplemented by the building of extra classrooms and halls to meet the demand of rising pupil numbers. We currently have around 350 children on roll in school.

I am really proud every day of what we achieve everyday with our lovely children. St Michael’s is extremely special and well-loved by its children, staff and parents. All of the varying aspects of school life give us a ‘uniqueness’ as a school, which will certainly help us to stand out for all the right reasons. We seek to provide a top-quality education, an extremely caring atmosphere & one where children can fully thrive, reaching their full & amazing potential as a child of God.

The thing that makes our school most special is the children. They are warm, welcoming and aspirational. They love to learn and show a fabulous attitude to school life, turning up with a smile each day for others. It is a lovely place to be each day.

We strive to prepare all of our children for the next stage of their education and for the world of work. In a society which is increasingly divided and isolated, we value strongly our role within the community to develop our pupils’ sense of responsibility, belonging and respect.

If you would like to come & have a look to see what Rossington St Michael’s can offer your child through a place at our school, then please give us a call – we look forward to hearing from you!
