Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Champion - Miss O Winterbottom
At Rossington St Michael’s, we are firmly committed to ensuring that every child - regardless of background, need or circumstance - has the opportunity to thrive, achieve and feel truly valued.
The Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to help schools close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. At St Michael’s, we use this funding strategically and purposefully to provide high-quality teaching, targeted academic interventions and enriching experiences that remove barriers to learning and promote the wellbeing of our most vulnerable children.
Our school ethos - “All are Welcome, All are Accepted, All Achieve, All are Loved” - sits at the heart of our Pupil Premium strategy. It guides every decision we make, ensuring that support is personalised, inclusive and rooted in care.
We:
- Analyse pupil data regularly to identify needs and monitor progress.
- Work in close partnership with families to ensure joined-up support.
- Use evidence-based strategies to make the biggest possible difference.
- Invest in emotional wellbeing as well as academic success.
- Provide wider opportunities to raise aspirations and broaden experiences.
Our aim is not just to close gaps - but to open doors. To give every child the tools, confidence and opportunity to flourish; now and in the future.
For more details about how we allocate our funding and evaluate its impact, please view the documents below or contact the school office. We welcome any questions or conversations about how we can continue to support your child.
