Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

At Rossington St Michael’s, we believe in excellence every day in every way and our vision is that all are welcome, accepted, achieve and are loved.

All Are Welcome

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me”. Matthew 25: 31-40

Children learn about the vision of creating an environment where everyone feels welcome. Within the classroom, all children are welcomed each morning with a greeting to start their day. This vision is modelled by all staff towards, not only the children and staff in school but the wider school community.

Our children learn about feeling welcome and how to mirror this feeling for others.

All Are Accepted

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God”. Romans 15:7

Across all areas of school life, our children feel accepted. They learn that we are a beautiful diverse community which is celebrated and supported. We praise and build up each other into an environment where all can achieve.

All Achieve

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13

We give all children the opportunity to achieve in all areas of the curriculum. We recognise that we all learn in different ways and, therefore, create an environment which supports and encourages all.

We also offer our staff a wider variety of opportunities to support their own professional and personal development.

All Are Loved

“I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with loving kindness”. Jeremiah 31:3

Throughout school, you will hear staff reassuring children and stating that they are loved. Children feel supported and loved which helps them to feel accepted and nurtured.
